Welcome to HackTheJD. By accessing or using our website at hackthejd.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.

1. Service Description

HackTheJD is an AI-powered career intelligence platform that analyzes your resume against job descriptions to provide match scoring, skill gap identification, project roadmaps, and resume optimization suggestions. Our analysis is generated using artificial intelligence and is intended as advisory guidance only — it does not guarantee job placement, interview selection, or hiring outcomes.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

3. Credits & Payments

• New users receive 2 free credits upon registration.
• Each AI analysis consumes 1 credit.
• Additional credits can be purchased via Razorpay. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except when an analysis fails due to a system error — in which case the credit is automatically refunded to your account.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing purchased credits remain unaffected by price changes.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or prompts powering the analysis.
• Abuse the API through automated scripts, bots, or excessive requests beyond normal usage.
• Upload resumes or content belonging to other individuals without their explicit consent.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as your own original work in contexts where authenticity is required (e.g., academic submissions).

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All analysis results, bridge bullets, project roadmaps, and optimization suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and relevance:

• AI output may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or suggestions that do not perfectly align with your experience.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any AI-generated content before using it in your resume or professional materials.
• HackTheJD is not liable for any consequences arising from the direct use of AI-generated suggestions without review.

6. Intellectual Property

• You retain full ownership of your resume content and job descriptions that you upload.
• The AI-generated analysis results are provided for your personal use.
• The HackTheJD brand, logo, design, and underlying technology are the property of HackTheJD and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HackTheJD and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use our service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, data, or profits.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Any unused credits at the time of termination due to a violation are forfeited.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
